The Composition Track is open to 10th-12th grade honorees in the annual ILMEA Composition Contest (1st, 2nd, 3rd, Honorable Mention). Past session topics include: Writing Effective Melodies, Collaborative Songwriting, Workshopping Compositions, Introduction to Harmony and Counterpoint, Score Preparation, and College & Career Roundtable.
When submitting entries in RNS, teachers should indicate if eligible students are interested in attending the Composition Track at IMEC 2018. Once the list of honorees is determined, information (and applications, if the numbers are greater than 20) will be sent to interested students. Any questions regarding the Composition Contest can be directed to Gina Wych at jsgm@ilmea.org
